What We Do

The Service Contract Act governs roughly $720 billion in federal contracts — and 68% of completed DOL investigations find violations. Most are not fraud. They are quiet fringe shortfalls, prevailing wage gaps, and classification mismatches that compound across every payroll cycle.MPAX Forensics applies a deterministic rule engine to your payroll records against the applicable Wage Determination. We identify violations, calculate exposure, and deliver a defensible findings report within 48 hours. No credentials shared. No infrastructure touched. No software installed.

What Every Audit Includes.

  • Full rule-based compliance analysis against your Wage Determination, employee by employee, period by period.

  • Executive report with total exposure, 30/90/365-day projections, and debarment and False Claims Act risk assessment.

  • Detailed violation findings with CFR citations, dollar-level shortfalls, and per-employee breakdowns.

  • Period-over-period trend analysis showing remediation progress or growing exposure.

  • Full SCA compliance checklist across wage, fringe, overtime, vacation, holiday, uniform, and recordkeeping requirements.

  • Complete audit package delivered in 48 hours.

FAQ

Who actually performs the audit — humans or automation?
Our deterministic rule engine runs the full analysis against your payroll data, applying published federal regulations without discretion, professional judgment, or advisory recommendation. The same input data produces the same output findings regardless of who reviews the engagement. A human reviews the package before delivery to confirm completeness.
What exactly is in the Forensic Audit Report?
Per-violation detail with CFR citation, dollar-level shortfall, affected employee, and affected pay period. Plus an executive summary, employee compliance status, violations by rule, exposure summary, period-over-period trend, full SCA compliance checklist, and per-period payroll detail.
What does the Executive Summary Include?
Total exposure across the audit period. Compliance rate across verifiable employees. Projected 30-day, 90-day, and annual exposure if no remediation action is taken. Debarment risk notice under 41 U.S.C. § 6706 and False Claims Act liability assessment under 31 U.S.C. § 3729. Written in plain language for executive stakeholders.
What if we dispute a finding — do you help with remediation?
We deliver the findings. Remediation stays with your team and your legal counsel. Our report is designed to give you everything you need to calculate back wages owed, document good-faith corrective action, and respond to any WHD inquiry with a defensible record.
What if we dispute a finding?
You have 5 business days from report delivery to submit written rationale on any finding you dispute. We review and respond within 5 business days with one of three outcomes: confirm the original finding, withdraw or modify it based on additional information you provide, or flag the finding as contested in a revised report.
Can we run audits on a recurring basis — monthly or quarterly?
Yes. Contractors under active SCA performance typically run a full audit quarterly or semi-annually to stay ahead of compliance drift. Recurring engagements are billed at the same flat fee per audit.
Will this audit disrupt our payroll or employee operations?
No. We never touch your infrastructure, payroll system, or employee records beyond the exported CSV you send us. Everything is analyzed through your payroll export only — zero operational risk.
Is our payroll data secure?
Yes. Your file is transferred over encrypted upload, stored on an AES-256 encrypted volume in an isolated partition, and permanently destroyed within 30 days of engagement close. We connect to nothing inside your infrastructure — no credentials, no API access, no system touch. Your payroll records are never sold, shared, or used to train any model. A signed deletion manifest is included in every audit package.
Does your report constitute legal advice or an SCA compliance certification?
No. MPAX Forensics is a deterministic data processor. Findings are computational outputs — not legal conclusions, professional opinions, or compliance certifications. Client is solely responsible for all remediation decisions and should retain qualified SCA counsel before responding to any Department of Labor investigation.
